The Rotary Club of Halesowen & Rowley Regis Benevolent Fund (Registered Charity 1020568) raises money each year through our Santa's Sleigh etc, which is distributed to various good causes both at home & abroad. The generous folks of Halesowen & Rowley Regis donate freely & we are very aware that we have a responsibility to use the funds wisely. If responding to disasters, we will use a Rotary supported charity such as Shelterbox or WaterAid, but our main concern is to support charities in the local community.
To this end, we have formed connections with the Black Country Food Bank & Black Country Women's Aid. These links were formed before the present crisis unfolded but are now proving more important than ever as you will see from the following:
support from Halesowen and Rowley Rotary has been so encouraging. The sponsorship of the van was such a great way to help us with the costs of running a van for a year, MOT’s, services, diesel etc and with the Rotary logo on the side of the van the good work of the sponsorship has been seen by many across the Black Country. We have built a good relationship with Halesowen and Rowley Rotary and enjoyed showing the members around our warehouse. We are extremely grateful for their continued support into 2021Jen ColemanChief Executive Officer
On behalf of all the staff at Black Country Women's Aid and the families we support, we wanted to send The Halesowen and Rowley Regis Rotary our sincere thanks for all that you do for us.
Your ongoing support means so much to the women and children in our refuges. Every year you put a big smile on lots of little faces and not just at Christmas time.
The kind donations you send helps to pay for many things, a family with no money to get to refuge in a taxi, you have paid for counselling for adults and children to help them to overcome the trauma of violence and sexual abuse and rebuild their lives, bought items to help a family leaving refuge with nothing helping them to turn their house into a home.
We can't thank you and the other local rotary groups for the tremendous support all year around, Easter, Christmas and paid trips to Drayton manor and Buddy bags. You make a real difference to those when they are feeling at their lowest.
Thank you for caring
Warm Regards
Deborah SlaterRegional Fundraising Officer BCWA
